Kanab, Utah to Page, Arizona

If you get to Kanab in Utah, make sure you grab a delicious coffee at Willow Canyon Outdoor. A wonderful coffee shop hidden in a store filled with great outdoorsy things, like head lamps, maps and books! We weren’t quite awake at that hour, since we’d been driving for over 12 hours, so I do not fully recall all the great things they were selling. We found them on Google Maps by clicking “coffee shops near me” when we were in the area. We arrived 10 minutes before opening, and while the lady came out of the back door, where we were parked, to do something else, she immediately invited us in! It can be hit and miss in the service industry. Sometimes you feel like you are inconveniencing their day, but this lady was ready to go! And the coffee was amazing to boot! Seriously! Best Americano’s I have ever tasted.

We needed WiFi to organize some of our days coming up, so the lady – I wish I could remember her name – referred us to the super market right across the street where we found a seating area with WiFi. I tried to finish an unfinished project from before we left home while Jeff was on his phone finding me a reservation – he’s a good man– with a tour company to go explore that burning “Bucket List” item: a visit to the Antilope Canyon. How I found out about this canyon was through my dentist in Canmore AB many years ago (about 10 I believe). He had a huge photograph in his office and I was instantly in love…with antilope canyon, not the dentist… just to be clear!
